OLA Coaching Requirements

A breakdown of 2010 Field, Box, and Girls Field coaching requirements can be found here.
There are separate courses for each segment.

This information has been provided by Rick Phillips, Vice President Technical (OLA)-Coaching.
So, in summary the requirements for 2010 are as follows:

The Coaching Staff (Head Coach or Assistant) of any tyke, novice, pee wee, bantam or midget team. Please click here for further info in regards to Bantam and Midget coaches and Provincial or National teams.

You are required to be trained at community-development OR certified at Level 1."

So, pretty straightforward. If you were fully certified at Level 1 in the old system, you are good to go.

If not, then you have to attend one of the 2010 Lacrosse Coaching clinics , even if you have one part of level 1 .

Your NCCP profile will show whether you are FULLY certified, or not.

Hopefully this makes some sense but the long and short of it is this.

If you are/were fully certified in the "old" system (Theory/Technical and Practical) then you are OK.

If you were not fully certified, then you need to take the community-development course this year at one of the 3 clinics.
